Hey — I’m Devon Smith. I ran a large vehicle restoration shop until a critical motorcycle accident took me off the floor and closed the shop. Years of writing estimates, fighting with warranty adjusters, and watching customers nod through repairs they didn’t need rearranged how I thought about the whole industry. The same conversation kept happening — friend or family member gets a quote, doesn’t know if it’s fair, texts me for a gut-check. I’d run their VIN, look up the CSPs and recalls, check the regional baseline, give them the number. Free. Ten minutes. Saved them four figures more times than I can count.
When the accident closed the shop, I had time to build the tool I wished a customer had handed me every time they walked in. RepairVerdict is that conversation, automated. The engine does what I did — only it does it for everyone, in about ten minutes, for $79 or $129.
If a Verdict ever feels off to you, I read every refund request myself. devon@repairverdict.com.
— Devon Smith, founder
$129 of that is the Full Verdict engine (same analysis as the Full tier — line-by-line, NHTSA, coverage hunt, repair-to-value math). $70 buys Devon's eyes on your specific Verdict and a plain-English video walking it. Customers who order the Video Review typically have a quote in the $2,000–$6,000 range — $199 against that is a rounding error if even one flagged line lands.
7-day refund. Devon reads every refund request himself.
Before you order.
Who records the video?
Devon Smith — RepairVerdict's founder. I ran a vehicle restoration shop until a critical motorcycle accident closed it. I built this engine and I review every Video Review order personally during this stage of the launch.
How long is the video?
Depends on the Verdict. Simple quotes with 1-2 flagged items might be 5-6 minutes. Complex multi-issue inspections can run 12-15. You get as much time as your situation deserves — not a fixed length.
When do I submit my inspection?
After you pay, you'll fill out the same Full Verdict intake (VIN, mileage, ZIP, your shop's PDF or photos — about 4 minutes). The engine generates your Verdict immediately; Devon records the video once it's ready.
What if I don't have a written inspection yet?
You'll need the shop's written quote to get the most out of the Video Review — that's what gives Devon specific line items to walk. If you just have a symptom or a pre-purchase question and no paperwork yet, start with the Full Verdict ($129) or Quick Verdict ($79) instead.
What if the Verdict doesn't need a video?
Some Verdicts are clean and obvious — those don't need a walkthrough. If yours is clear-cut, the Full Verdict ($129) is the right call. The Video Review is for customers who have a complex quote, a significant decision pending, or just want a real person explaining it before they go back to the shop.
What's your refund policy on the Video Review?
7-day refund window. If the video wasn't delivered within 24 business hours after your Verdict was ready, or there's a fundamental issue with the recording, email devon@repairverdict.com. Devon reviews every request the same business day. See our refund policy for full terms.
